‘Celebrating and Embracing our Community Uniqueness – Bringing our divided people together to re-establish lost relationships through the medium of sport, art and horticulture
Funding has been awarded by Monaghan Peace Partnership’s PEACE IV Programme to Clones Town FC for the development of a ‘Peace Garden’ at John Delaney Park, Clones. As part of the works an Arts Peace Sculpture, Sensory Shrubbery & lighting will be developed around the new Dressing Rooms and will further support the iconic symbol of unification that Football has provided to our communities both north and south who played on and off the field over the decades. The Art Sculpture will act as the backdrop to the project and will reinforce the spirit of developing cross-border, cross-community relationships, enabling people to collaborate and transform their communities for generations to come.
Clones Town FC invites you to participate in our PEACE IV Project, by designing an ‘Artistic Sculpture’ in the page provided overleaf that you feel represents the unique history of our club. The winning picture will progress their Artistic Design with an Artist to create the mural that will sit amongst the Peace Garden at JD Park
